Welcome to Little Cheetah Cat Rescue! Our goal is to educate the public on the plight of feral cats, and to provide informational resources for all special needs felines.

Little Cheetah is located in the beautiful Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, were we enjoy the wonderfully comfortable Vermont summers, the spectacular Vermont autumn, to the pristine snow of our long peaceful winters, and the rebirth of Vermont's natural beauty in the spring.

We have a managed colony of 7 feral cats, and accept special needs rescue cases on a limited scale. We rehome our adoptable felines through our wonderful veterinary office, Lamoille Valley Veterinary Services. We also have a number of permanent resident housecats, from our personal cats, to rescues that for one reason or another, have ended up joining our family. Our rescue is run out of our village home, and visitors are welcome with a bit of advance notice.

I am always available to assist local people in setting up TNR programs, and assisting them become responsible feral cat caretakers. I am an experienced feral cat trapper, and can refer anyone who seeks low cost spay or neutering services to one of many programs in our surrounding areas.

Here in Vermont, we have a huge problem with people who dump their unwanted cats at the local dairy farms. This is an inhumane and irresponsible activity, and education is the key to ending this problem. I ALWAYS accept unwanted cats, with no questions asked, at any time. I do charge a small fee to cover my expenses for this service. I try to rehome all adoptable cats, but I am NOT a no-kill shelter. My vet has limited space for adoptions, and I do not have an in-house adoption center, so only a limited number of cats can be placed up for adoption at a time. I feel that euthanisa is more humane than allowing your cat to starve to death, be physically abused by farm-hands, or be crushed to death by a cow at a dairy farm (yes, I have seen this all first-hand). A dairy farm is NOT a suitable retirement home for your unwanted cat, it is a HORRIBLE, long, slow, and possibly very painful death sentence! If I can't rehome your unwanted cat, I will take him/her to a quality veterinarian to be euthanised HUMANELY! Cats are NOT disposable property, but if no others options exist, I will be responsible for you and do your dirty work to save a helpless cat from suffering!

NOTICE 09/15/07: WE ARE NOW CLOSED. We will be CLOSED until further notice due to lack of operating funds and abandoned kittens who brought infectious diarrhea with them. We will likely be closed for a minimum of 6 months, until all of our cats are treated and the infection is under control. ANY CATS DROPPED OFF AT OUR LOCATION IN THE MEANTIME WILL BE IMMEDIATELY EUTHANISED (please leave the $50 fee to have your cat euthanised in the carrier with your cat if you choose to DUMP IT HERE!).
