| Research cats ARE the forefront of ALL new treatments and cures for feline diseases and illnesses. We all owe all of our cats' health to these cats that give so much to better our understanding of feline disease. Many vet school's currently euthanise all research animals after the trials are completed. Here, we plan to highlight those schools that take the time to care enough to place retired research cats into adoptive homes. Our hope is that some day, all veterinary schools and colleges will have adoption programs in place, and no healthy cats end up being killed after they serve their society in such an honorable and respected way! |
